User Data Deletion

Last updated: September 2025

This page explains how to delete data held in YUMA. It satisfies Meta’s requirement for a public data-deletion instructions URL for apps that access Meta user data.

Overview

YUMA stores data per salon organization. Deleting a salon account removes that organization’s stored data from our active systems, including Instagram connection tokens, IGSIDs, and message history tied to that salon.

Salon owner or administrator

Sign in to YUMA → open your project/salon settings. To close your organization and delete associated data, contact us at support@yumatime.com from the email on the account with the subject “Account deletion” and your salon name or slug. We will confirm identity and complete deletion within a reasonable time.

End client of a salon

If you visited a salon that uses YUMA, the salon is responsible for your client record. Ask the salon directly to update or delete your name, phone, or visit history.

The salon owner or admin erases personal data in Dashboard → Clients → client profile → “Erase personal data” (owner/admin only). Visit history stays for reporting, without your name, phone, or contact details. If the salon cannot help, email support@yumatime.com with the salon name and your contact details; we will coordinate with the account owner.

Instagram Messaging

To stop YUMA from receiving new Instagram DMs: Dashboard → Integrations → disconnect Instagram.

To remove stored Instagram data (IGSID, threads, messages) for your salon, delete the organization as described above or request deletion by email.

Meta platform deletion callback

When a person removes your app in Meta account settings, Meta may POST to our endpoint /api/meta/data-deletion with a signed request. We acknowledge the request and return a status URL and confirmation code. Status and instructions are also described on this page; for manual requests email support@yumatime.com.
